Attention to structure, formulation and overall coherence of the text, in relation to the disciplinary context and expectations of readership.
Method
The text is treated as an editorial unit defined by the conditions of reading and evaluation. The intervention acts on structure, formulation and coherence as coordinated levels, in relation to the context of international academic publication in English.
The intervention involves three level:
Structure
Organisation of the text, argumentative progression, balance between parts.
Formulation
Lexical and syntactic choices, clarity of expression, control of register.
Coherence
Strength of the argument, internal continuity, readability for the intended reader.
